Claims AR Specialist
Jacksonville, Florida
The Role
Claims AR Specialist completes an audit of all assigned claims invoices against the Utopia Claims Management system, providing documentation as required.
What You’ll Do
- Completes review of all assigned claims invoices via the daily Claims Invoicing Workflow sheet.
- Verifies all audited invoices are generated, attaching any required documentation per the agent’s needs.
- Processes outgoing emails to agents with invoices and documentation.
- Updates fields as necessary within the Claims Invoicing Workflow and Claims Module.
- Submits document requests through the AR Pending Docs dashboard when required.
- Responds to agent inquiries via email as necessary.
- Registers Agent Rebuttals in a timely manner.
- Completes review and generation of all Credit Memos assigned weekly.
- Assists with various reporting as trained and necessary during scheduled and unscheduled PTO.
- Maintain knowledge of changes in Active Carrier List, including special requirements for Claims invoicing packets.
- Escalates problem shipments to Claims AR Supervisor as needed.
- Cross train in other AR Team areas as required to support the team’s needs during peak and off-peak months.
- Work closely with teammates, other departments, agents, and bases as needed.
What You’ll Need
- High School Diploma or GED OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment.
- Ability to handle difficult customers and situations and be able to solve problems.
- Pleasant and professional phone voice.
- Ability to learn all internal programs and procedures.
- Ability to maintain focus while working similar tasks throughout the day.
- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office Programs.
- Ability to learn all internal computer programs.
- Willingness to take on additional projects/workload and maintain good synergy within the team environment.
- Ability to adapt and learn in a changing environment.
Nice To Have
- Bachelor degree and/or accounting experience.
