A la Carte Server    

Position Reports to:  Restaurant Manager

Subordinate Staff: None


Basic Functions: Provide friendly, responsive service to all guests to create an exceptional dining experience.  Each server’s goal is to treat each and every guest equally and professionally so they will want to return again.


Essential Functions:

  1. Welcome and greet guests.  Make all guests feel comfortable and let them know you are personally taking care of them.
  2. Inform all guests of specials and any menu changes.
  3. Have a strong knowledge of the menu and be able to answer questions about any menu items.
  4. Take food and beverage orders accurately and timely and enter into POS system immediately. 
  5. Monitor and observe ALL guests in the dining room to ensure they are all satisfied.  Respond promptly and courteously to all requests.
  6. Maintain clean service areas.
  7. Prepare final bill, present check to guests, and accept payment or charges. 
  8. Thank guests and invite them to return. 
  9. Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as needed.
  10. Perform assigned side work at start and end of each shift.   

Position Requirements:

Education:  none required

Experience:  none required

  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Knowledge of basic sanitary guidelines
  • Comprehensive understanding of English language
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and managers
  • Reliable transportation
