HR Coordinator

Alpharetta, GA

Job Title:  HR Coordinator
Department:  Human Resources
Reports to:    Director of Human Resources
Effective Date: 12/7/2015    FLSA Status: Non-exempt

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Human Resources
• Process background checks and manage drug free workplace program for new hires
• Coordinate pre-employment and new hire process
• Notify Managers when candidates are eligible for hire
• Maintain all employee files that are separate from online platform
• Support recruiting efforts with job postings, screening, local sources, and events
• Stay on top of employment law changes and updates
• Assist with form, policy, and process compliance and improvement
• Support HR Manager with administrative tasks
b) Payroll
• Respond to verification of employment inquiries as received
• Help managers with login/password questions
c) Benefits
• Assist with benefits services such as open enrollment meetings
• Assist Benefits Specialist in collection of insurance applications
• Coordinate with HR Manager and Benefits Administer to track FMLA’s, personal leaves, short term disability, and long term disability
d) Administration
• Reconcile monthly background check bill with REAL Controller prior to sending to the Accounting Department for payment
• File, scan, upload and assist onsite HR with organization
e) REAL
• Comply with REAL policies and performance expectations.
• Document REAL and client processes
• Participate in ongoing training provided by REAL and by client


JOB REQUISITES:
The individual in this position should be competent, organized, personable, a problem solver, reliable, ethical, and able to adapt to the pressures of effectively managing multiple goals and daily tasks at once: demanding client, ongoing projects, deadlines, and requests for employee assistance.

Preferred Education/Training/Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1+ years HR administration experience or
• 1+ years payroll administration experience

Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Solid understanding of the application of HR and Payroll processes to federal and state laws to limit client liability
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills (informing employees, consulting with clients)
• Take initiative to solve client problems and inform client managers
• Ability to maintain a positive presence in the workplace

License(s) or Certification(s) Preferred:
• Valid driver’s license required
• PHR

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.  Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. 
• Stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, and walking are occasionally required.
• Talking, hearing, and seeing with close visual acuity are frequently required.
• Keying data is repetitive motion and is frequently required.
• The position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
• Driving to client and/or corporate locations is sometimes required.
