Applications Lab Team Member

Halfmoon, NY

Job Description: The Applications Lab Team Member assesses customer needs, communicates capabilities, provides test methods, and otherwise assists customers in validating potential purchases. This position helps sell equipment by acting as the voice of the customer to translate needs and identify and test potential solutions. Hours for this role are 7:00 am - 4:00 pm or 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. This position may travel and includes a training period, duration is dependent on existing knowledge level. This position requires onsite presence in Halfmoon, NY

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Program machines for path work. 
  • Act as intermediary, provide technical support, understand needs, and describe product capabilities and company offerings by translating technical language for potential customers, as needed.
  • Provide correct and accurate information based on testing processes and develop follow-up reports. 
  • Create pictures/videos/reports to present test results to customer on 90% of machines.
  • Clean systems to maintain organization, impact customer service, and ensure ready for use. 
  • Review MSDS, understand required PPE and how to process and dispose of materials, as needed. 
  • Review database and provide recommendations to customers on materials, products, settings, insight parameters, and history of use. 
  • Understand logic behind customer processes/needs and relay information to software programming department, as needed.  
  • Partner with technical experts and create white papers to describe company capabilities, as needed. 
  • Respond to service tickets regarding urgent customer needs and support service, engineers and manufacturing, as needed. 
  • Answer direct questions and escalate issues from customers to supervisor.
  • Attend trade shows and company events, as needed.
  • Assist customer with process improvement and optimization.
  • Lead, assist, or support team members when performing runoff, installation, and rework installation.
  • Provides onsite support and installations at customer locations, as needed. 
  • Maintains confidentiality of customer information, 100% of the time.
  • Shares information learned from customers with supervisor to create efficiency and improve processes in the operation.

  • Minimum three (3)+ years of technical service and commercial experience, preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferred.
