Inventory/Receiving Team Member

Job Description: The Inventory/Receiving Team Member is responsible for receiving, stocking, maintaining, and inventorying parts used to build machinery for Precision Valve & Automation - PVA. This position ensures parts are correct and available when needed for production. Starting pay is $16-$18 per hour. This position requires onsite presence in Halfmoon, NY.
Job Requirements:
- Receives/distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
- Ensures invoices for pricing and quantity match shipping manifest.
- Ensures boxes and product meet quality specifications.
- Notates damages on bill of lading at time of receipt.
- Assures “just in time” parts are received by noon.
- Receive and ensure parts are identified correctly and placed in the correct location/bin.
- Monitor and report inventory variances.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage.
- Keep appropriate inventory records and adjustments.
- Complete new item set up in system as needed.
- Conduct cycle counts as needed.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety standards.

- Must have strong verbal communication and listening skills.
- Well organized, analytical, and detail oriented.
- Ability to work most of the day on your feet in a fast-paced team environment.
- Maintains a calm, tactful demeanor when dealing with difficult situations.
- Manages multiple projects and timelines with a sense of urgency and follow through.
- Follows direction with focused attention.
- Use of Epicor or other ERP system, preferred.
- Kanban experience, preferred.
- Strong computer and Excel skills, preferred.
