CNC Machinist, 1st Shift

Job Description: The CNC Machinist is responsible for machining the parts sold by Precision Valve Automation - PVA. This position ensures the product is created according to specifications based on instructions and job tracker. Hours for this position are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm 5 days/week or 6:00 am - 4:30 pm 4 days/week (weekdays only). This position requires onsite presence in Halfmoon, NY.

Job Responsibilities:

• Creates parts and follows procedures and instructions to meet customer expectations.
• Reads and interprets mechanical schematics to ensure accuracy.
• Sets up tooling equipment, loads parts, reviews programming steps, and ensures adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Responsible for performing first piece inspections on machined parts.
• Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
• Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipers.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
• Maintain a clean and neat work area.

• Associates Degree in industrial applications or machining, preferred.
