Reconciliation & Payroll Accounting Specialist

Job Scope

  • Client funds reconciliation is one of the most critical tasks faced by payroll and HCM service bureaus. The Banking & Accounting Specialist is responsible for owning these reconciliation processes across our multiple bank accounts and client base to ensure that AllianceHCM is holding the proper amount of money for every client
  • Reports to the VP of Finance & Accounting
  • Works cross-functionally within the organization to ensure large data sets reconcile and also interfaces with external parties as necessary, including banking partners and clients
  • Takes the initiative to research and resolve anomalies identified during reconciliation processes
  • Troubleshoot escalated client billing issues to provide timely and accurate solutions
  • Resolve bounced transactions related to clients’ payrolls
  • Verify accuracy of third party billing items on a monthly basis and bill out to specific clients
  • Daily review of online bank portals for positive pay exceptions. Assess and research to determine whether to pay or reject
  • Daily phone client communication and detailed email follow up communication

  • Interest in succeeding in a fast-paced environment where customer service is the top priority
  • Very strong attention to detail and highly communicative
  • Demonstrated organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to handle large amount of data, perform analysis, draw conclusions and present various explanations in a concise manner
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Payroll-related experience preferred
  • Experience working with customers is preferred
  • Knowledge of any of the following is helpful: Banking, Accounting, Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite
