Manufacturing Project Manager

Halfmoon, NY

Job Description: The Manufacturing Project Manager is responsible for managing custom equipment orders for the engineering department. This position ensures that the product is designed and built within customer requirements, budget, and timeframe which ultimately impacts the revenue and long-term profitability of the company. This position requires onsite presence in Halfmoon, NY.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reviews sales orders, interprets engineering needs, and develops questions for customer response to ensure machines are designed based on needs, budget, and timeframe.
  • Delivers an on-time, complete, and accurate documentation package within specified timeframes.
  • Monitors project to ensure that goals and customer expectations are met, and product is developed on schedule.
  • Communicates deliverables, delays, and underlying issues that may impact production and shipments.
  • Coordinates with engineering, sales, and production to develop a project schedule that includes a release date for sufficient manufacturing and production time.
  • Reviews specifications with customers to gain approval prior to release of engineering documentation, manufacturing or procurement of materials.
  • Confirms that milestones have been completed to ensure the project stays on schedule.
  • Partners with purchasing department and engineering to ensure parts are ordered for on time delivery.
  • Coordinates schedules prior to customer demonstration/visit.
  • Answers questions, manages expectations and acceptance criterion, and fosters customer relationships.
  • Ensures any items that need attention are communicated and corrected to customers satisfaction.
  • Flags and communicates scheduling concerns for projects.
  • Maintains confidentiality of customer information 100% of the time.

  • Strong computer and excel skills.
  • Two to five (2-5) years of Project Management experience, required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Project Management, or related field, required.
  • PMP Certification, preferred.
