Job Description: The Production Planner is responsible for scheduling the parts for manufacture in the Machine Shop. This position ensures product is created on time according to specification based on instructions and job tracker which ultimately impacts the revenue and long-term profitability of the company. Hours for this position are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday-Friday. PVA has implemented a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy requiring full vaccination prior to the start of employment. Job Responsibilities:

• Sets up all jobs for manufacturing in the Machine Shop.
• Purchases raw materials for Machine Shop.
• Creates parts and follows procedures and instructions to meet customer expectations.
• Reads and interprets mechanical schematics to ensure accuracy.
• Works with Group Managers to ensure parts are on schedule with the assembly process.
• Works with Engineering to maximize manufacturing process.
• Identifies part orders that can be replaced by stock parts.
• Optimizes quantity and frequency of part orders to reduce setup times.
• Assist in tracking outside process.
• Maintains confidentiality of customer information, 100% of the time.
• Keeps a neat and organized work station for safety and efficiency, 100% of the time
• Adheres to company policies, 100% of the time.

Skills:

• Must have strong verbal communication and listening skills.
• Well organized, analytical, and detail oriented.
• Maintains a calm, tactful demeanor when dealing with difficult situations.
• Manages multiple projects and timelines with a sense of urgency and follow through.
• Strong computer and excel skills, preferred.
• Basic use of hand tools, preferred.
• Associates Degree in industrial applications or machining, preferred.
