Embedded Systems Programmer

Halfmoon, NY

Job Description: The Systems Programmer writes code that operates and enables the manufacturing robotics sold by Precision Valve Automation - PVA. This position is critical to PVA; the Systems Programmer ensures that machines are built correctly and meet the expectations of the customer which ultimately impacts the revenue and long-term profitability of the company. This position requires onsite presence in Halfmoon, NY.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up PCs within specified timeframes based on the complexity and uniqueness of the machine.
  • Programs manufacturing robotics using proprietary company coding language following procedures and instructions to meet customer expectations.
  • Completes programming within specified timeframes based on the complexity and uniqueness of the machine to ensure goals and expectations are met.
  • Ensures product is created according to specification based on instructions and job tracker with up to 99% quality.
  • Reads and interprets mechanical schematics to ensure accuracy.
  • Utilizes software to communicate issues or delays during build, on real time basis.
  • Sets up machine to perform process.
  • Completes build within specified timeframes to ensure goals and expectations are met and product is developed on schedule.
  • Ensures equipment is in optimum working order and brings issues to team leaders’ attention within one hour when aware of machine interruption.
  • Maintains confidentiality of customer information.
  • Keeps a neat and organized workstation for safety and efficiency.
  • Interacts with customers in value stream or works in other value streams, as needed.

  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, preferred. A successful candidate will be driven and motivated to learn PVA’s specific programming language.
  • Associates Degree in Computer Science, required.
