Inventory/Receiving Team Member

Halfmoon NY

Job Description: The Inventory/Receiving Team Member is responsible for receiving, stocking, maintaining, and inventorying parts used to build PVA's machinery. This position ensures parts are available when needed for production. This position requires onsite presence in Cohoes, NY.

Job Requirements:

  • Distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
  • Ensures invoices for pricing and quantity match shipping manifest.
  • Ensures boxes and product meet quality specifications.
  • Notates damages on bill of lading at time of receipt.
  • Assures “just in time” parts are received by noon.
  • Receive and ensure parts are identified correctly and placed in the correct location/bin.
  • Monitor and report inventory variances.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage.
  • Keep appropriate inventory records and adjustments.
  • Complete new item set up in system as needed.
  • Conduct cycle counts as needed.
  • Conduct physical inventory of all parts once per year and meet company shrink goal.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety standards.


  • Must have strong verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Well organized, analytical, and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work most of the day on your feet in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Maintains a calm, tactful demeanor when dealing with difficult situations.
  • Use of Epicor or other ERP system, preferred.
  • Kanban experience, preferred.
  • Strong computer and Excel skills, preferred.
  • Prior experience using an RF scanner in an operations/inventory role, preferred.
