CNC Machinist, 1st Shift

Job Description: The Machinist is responsible for machining the parts sold by PVA. This position ensures the product is created according to specifications based on instructions and job tracker. This position requires onsite presence in Halfmoon, NY.

Job Duties:

• Creates parts and follows procedures and instructions to meet customer expectations.
• Reads and interprets mechanical schematics to ensure accuracy.
• Sets up tooling equipment, loads parts, reviews programming steps, and ensures adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Fabricate precision parts from metal, plastic, etc. using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill press, etc.
• Responsible for performing first piece inspections on machined parts.
• Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
• Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipers.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
• Maintain a clean and neat work area.

• Associates Degree in industrial applications or machining, preferred.
