Customer Service Representative - Personal Lines Insurance

Role and Responsibilities

Personal Lines CSRs are responsible for the day to day maintenance of client files.  This includes fielding requests via phone, email and fax as well as proactively reviewing and contacting clients about policies.

Job Duties Include:

  • Answering client questions regarding billing and coverage
  • Endorsing policies per client’s request
  • File documentation and maintenance
  • Billing updates and changes
  • Renewal Review – Account Review
  • Quoting new lines of business
  • Underwriting follow up
  • Remarket Existing policies
  • Renewal payment follow up
  • Cross Sell

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Required:

  • High School Degree or GED Equivalent
  • Texas P&C License – must provide copy of license at time of interview
  • Previous Insurance Experience in Property and Casualty
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Type at 40 WPM or More

Preferred:

  • Previous experience with an Independent Agency
  • Previous Experience with EPIC or other Applied Product
  • Computer Savvy – Can easily navigate new programs, website and databases

Preferred Skills :

  • Comfortable in a team environment and can take direction well.  

 Additional Notes: 

 Salary is based on the amount of experience.   Subject to verification of previous employment as well as on-site skills assessment testing during interview process.   This is a full time – non-exempt, hourly position.  Guaranteed 40 hrs a week, overtime available occasionally but not required.  Commission paid for both new and remarketed business.  3 days a week, Work From home available after 1 year of employment if Qualify under Work from Home Agreement.
