Community Outreach Support

Scope Summary

The Outreach Coordinator provides planning and facilitates the implementation and administration of public relations programs and activities. The Outreach Coordinator works proactively with the community, serves as a representative of the company, and works closely with stakeholders to support the implementation and coordination of the company’s outreach objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Participates in community event to strengthen the presence of the company.
  • Coordinates projects, assists with document creation using established templates, and provides administrative support for a wide variety of Public Relations activities.
  • Prepares publication and dissemination of newsletters and annual reports to include reports focusing on initiatives such as special events and activities pertaining to various client-designated projects.
  • Assists in developing and disseminating content to support the client’s social media efforts.
  • Develops content for the website, brochures, flyers, information cards, etc.
  • Possesses proficient communication skills in dealing with employees, customers and external organizations.
  • Demonstrates tact and professionalism in dealing with a variety of people.
  • Communicates and listens effectively in an appropriate and positive manner.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple requests efficiently.
  • Ability to works independently with limited supervision and make decisions within designated authority.
  • Collaborate with public figures or personally address media as allowed by contract specifications to inspire community support and promote a safe work environment.
  • Develop, prepare, and present reports, proposals, memos and community outreach documentation.
  • Perform other duties as needed

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, or related field preferred
  • A minimum of Five (5) years of experience in a position of similar complexity and responsibility required. 
  • Must be proactive, organized, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Always curious and always learning

Technical Tools Used in the Project:

  • Microsoft Office, MS. Office Suite, Adobe
