Office Engineer – Infrastructure Construction

Scope Summary

Office Engineer, this individual supports Engineers and Project Managers by performing and providing field support to the Resident Engineer by reviewing plans and specifications, documenting field activities, and coordinating between various departments, as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

Work as a Construction Management resource.

  • Perform general Resident Engineer’s Office duties relating to administration of construction contracts such as contract change orders, monthly progress estimates, document controls using an established electronic filing system, correspondence, attending meetings, recording minutes, ensuring project files and logs are up to date, and assist with other tasks as requested.
  • Organizing and maintaining detailed project records and documentation. 
  • Position requires strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders of all levels and ability to apply appropriate communication techniques with various individuals to achieve project objectives.
  • Contract administration experience desired.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Planning, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management
  • Minimum of 5 years of project controls experience on large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Must possess full proficiency in cash flow analysis, scheduling techniques
  • Can handle and prioritize multiple projects concurrently.
  • Should be capable of analyzing information thoroughly and making recommendations on strategies to resolve project issues quickly.
  • Public agency experiences desirable.

Technical Tools Used in the Project:

Microsoft Office, Prolog (basic), Wong CMS, MS. Office Suite, MS Project, Bluebeam, Timberline and Primavera Schedule Software
