Marketing Coordinator

Position Summary

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of marketing tactics to increase Bethyl’s brand awareness and reach within the life sciences industry. This role supports a variety of advertising and branding initiatives under the leadership and direction of the Vice President, Customer Care. The position involves coordinating and proofing multiple, deadline driven campaigns and projects according to established guidelines and timelines. The Coordinator handles correspondence with creative partners and key internal departments to ensure logistics are met, and campaigns are successfully deployed and tracked.

 

Essential Functions/Specific Duties: 

  • Manage timelines and deliverables for assigned internal and external marketing projects from request through delivery; ensuring that project requirements are met on time, within budget, and work with Accounting on billing
  • Coordinate and manage the company's advertising (print and digital) and editorial calendars; responsible for ensuring creative content is submitted properly and all deadlines are met
  • Act as the liaison between publishers/creative agencies and the Executive team
  • Work closely with the VP of Customer Care to develop successful, long-term relationships with advertising and publisher partners
  • Participate in creative campaign planning and other marketing strategic planning
  • Work with Webmaster to create web content and online campaigns that support marketing initiatives and goals
  • Assist with the coordination of promotions and track success
  • Collaborate with content marketers and scientists to create high-quality content around relevant terms and themes for website and non-digital collateral
  • Edit/proof and assist with writing collateral, web, and other scientific content
  • Track print and digital campaign metrics to ensure success and draft monthly and quarterly reports for Executives
  • Manage collateral library and be able to create new collateral as needs arise
  • Coordinate and manage trade shows and conferences
  • Assist with the creation of e-blasts, direct mail campaigns, and manage mailing lists
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management, which may not be listed above, that are necessary to accomplish our goal of improving lives by supporting scientific discovery

 

Qualifications/Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Experience:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in a Marketing or Marketing-related role (Communications, Advertising, Public Relations) is required

Competencies/Skills:

  • Highly motivated, organized self-starter
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to build team and external business relationships
  • Ability to collaborate with team members to achieve results
  • Intermediate knowledge level of marketing concepts and comfortable with working with traditional (print) and digital media
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite, email software, and basic to immediate experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent command of written English with copy accuracy
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong prioritization skills to balance demands and deadlines
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills

 

Conditions of Work: 

  • May work 40+ hours on occasion
  • Highly technical environment due to the scientific nature of the industry, which can be challenging and requires a commitment to learn as well as a can-do attitude
  • Ability to travel to conferences as needed
