Desktop Support Technician
Jacksonville, Florida
The Role
Desktop Support Technician responsible for day-to-day support of all phone system and desktop hardware/software applications and peripheral equipment via remote tools, phone, and in-person visits as needed. Provides support to the IT staff regarding special projects and hardware/software implementation.
What You’ll Do
- Provide first level support by responding to local and remote support requests;
- Track and provide resolution documentation utilizing the TMM Service Desk
- Discuss weekly status of service desk issues and projects with management
- Perform User PC installations, troubleshooting and administration
- Comply with corporate guidelines and controls
- Assist with computer systems inventory when necessary
- Assist in maintaining the TMM phone system
- Assist other Information Technology personnel with special projects as assigned
- Maintain knowledge on current and future technologies
- Support the TMM IT Misision Statement
- Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 30 pounds
- Other projects and duties as necessary.
What You’ll Need
- Minimum of 1 work experience supporting systems and desktop products and software (e.g. MS Windows 10, MS Office 365, Adobe Acrobat) preferred
- Associates or Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent area OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Available to work nights/weekends when necessary
- Ability to express ideas clearly, effectively, and professionally in both verbal and written communication
- Possess superior problem-solving skills
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment
- Possess a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to learn all internal computer programs
- Willingness to take on additional projects/workload
- Ability to maintain good synergy within the team environment
