Desktop Support Technician

Jacksonville, Florida

The Role

Desktop Support Technician responsible for day-to-day support of all phone system and desktop hardware/software applications and peripheral equipment via remote tools, phone, and in-person visits as needed.  Provides support to the IT staff regarding special projects and hardware/software implementation.  

What You’ll Do

  • Provide first level support by responding to local and remote support requests;
  • Track and provide resolution documentation utilizing the TMM Service Desk
  • Discuss weekly status of service desk issues and projects with management
  • Perform User PC installations, troubleshooting and administration
  • Comply with corporate guidelines and controls
  • Assist with computer systems inventory when necessary
  • Assist in maintaining the TMM phone system
  • Assist other Information Technology personnel with special projects as assigned
  • Maintain knowledge on current and future technologies
  • Support the TMM IT Misision Statement
  • Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 30 pounds
  • Other projects and duties as necessary.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum of 1 work experience supporting systems and desktop products and software (e.g. MS Windows 10, MS Office 365, Adobe Acrobat) preferred
  • Associates or Bachelor degree  in computer science or equivalent area OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Available to work nights/weekends when necessary
  • Ability to express ideas clearly, effectively, and professionally in both verbal and written communication
  • Possess superior problem-solving skills
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Possess a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to learn all internal computer programs
  • Willingness to take on additional projects/workload
  • Ability to maintain good synergy within the team environment
