Customer Support Intern

The Customer Support Roles

There are a variety of areas within the Customer Support department to work during the summer break.  Some intern positions may continue to be available in the fall.

Outbound Interns will work closely with the Customer Care Advocates to help communicate via phone and email directly with military members during the packing, loading, and delivery of their household goods.

Origin Services Interns will work primarily with moving agencies, military bases, and 3rd party vendors via email to process Premove data and gain required authorizations to ensure special services are coordinated prior to the start of the packing date. 

Destination Services Interns will work with the military member and moving agencies via phone and email to coordinate delivery of their household goods from storage as well as specialized delivery requests.

Reception Interns This individual will be the first voice a customer will hear when calling into TMM prior to forwarding the calls to the correct department for assistance.  The position provides the best overall understanding of the company’s different departments and how they interact with each other. 

What You’ll Need

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree OR post-graduate education
  • 1+ years’ experience in a customer service, sales, or office environment preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment.
  • Ability to handle difficult customers and situations and be able to solve problems.
  • Pleasant and professional phone voice.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Ability to learn all internal computer programs.
  • Willingness to take on additional projects/workload and maintain good synergy within the team environment.
  • Ability to adapt and learn in a changing environment.
