Metropolitan Grill is a classic American steakhouse known for timeless hospitality, tableside traditions, and exceptional cuisine. We are seeking seasoned, detail-oriented professionals to join our team as an expeditor. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in precision, teamwork, delivering a seamless guest experience.

The Expeditor is a key member of the service operation, serving as the central point of communication between the kitchen and dining room. This role ensures that every dish is prepared, organized, and delivered with accuracy, proper timing, and the level of polish our guests expect.

Position Responsibilities

• Organize and expedite all food orders according to tickets and service standards
• Deliver food to guests with professionalism, confidence, and warmth
• Act as the primary communication link between line cooks and servers
• Maintain consistency, accuracy, and flow during high-volume service
• Uphold Metropolitan Grill standards for quality, presentation, and hospitality

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
• Weekend availability required
• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to safely and consistently load and carry large oval trays
• Able to remain on your feet for extended periods
• Capable of sustaining a high level of focus and energy throughout service
• Relevant training or experience demonstrating the skills required for the role
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and professionalism

Compensation

Average Earnings: $25–$32 per hour with commissions
Pay Structure: $2 per hour base rate + 6% pooled commission on net sales

*In the unlikely event that base pay plus commissions in a workweek do not meet or exceed the minimum wage, Expeditors will be paid at least the Seattle minimum wage of $21.30 per hour.
