Metropolitan Grill is a classic American steakhouse rooted in timeless hospitality, exceptional cuisine, and attentive service. We are seeking polished, motivated professionals to join our team as a Server Assistant. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in supporting a refined dining experience and who are passionate about food, beverage, and continued learning.

Server Assistants are essential to the rhythm and flow of the dining room. Working closely with servers and the kitchen, they ensure tables are impeccably maintained, food is delivered efficiently, and service moves seamlessly throughout each shift—allowing our guests to enjoy an elevated and effortless experience.

Position Responsibilities

• Support the service team to ensure smooth, attentive dining room operations
• Maintain tables to Metropolitan Grill standards, including clearing, resetting, and assisting with guest needs
• Deliver food and beverages efficiently and professionally
• Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure proper timing and flow of service
• Uphold hospitality, presentation, and service standards at all times

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to sustain a high level of energy and focus throughout service
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to safely and consistently carry full cocktails and large oval trays
• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
• Relevant training or experience demonstrating the skills and abilities required for the role
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and professionalism

Compensation

Average Earnings: $25–$32 per hour with commissions
Pay Structure: $2 per hour base rate + pooled 6% commission on net sales

*In the unlikely event that base pay plus commissions in a workweek do not meet or exceed the minimum wage, Server Assistants will be paid at least the Seattle minimum wage of $21.30 per hour.
