IT Support Technician

Job Description: The IT Support Technician ensures all physical and virtual systems are optimized for business performance with little to zero downtime. This position is critical to PVA; the IT Support Technician supports users, infrastructure design, deployment, security, and systems which impacts the revenue and long-term profitability of the company. This position requires onsite presence in Halfmoon, NY. PVA has implemented a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy requiring full vaccination by January 7, 2022. Individuals seeking an exemption from this requirement for medical or religious reasons will need to complete a request for accommodation to the HR department.
Job Responsibilities:
	- Provides tier one/two technical support and guidance for end-users and backend use.
 
	- Collects relevant data for Tier 3 technical support before escalation of issues.
 
	- Ensures response time for business-critical systems is immediate; standard ticketing within four hours and resolution within 24 hours.
 
	- Installs, monitors, and supports end-user hardware, software, and virtual server environment. 
 
	- Configures systems to ensure consistent operations to support processes and ensure business objectives are met.
 
	- Installs updates, upgrades, patches, and hotfixes.
 
	- Develops and maintains internal end user and technical support knowledge base. 
 
	- Provides Microsoft Exchange 365 email configuration and maintenance to corporate, and locations.
 
	- Assists with Active Directory configuration, maintenance, and administration
 
	- Assists with setup and execution of new technology systems. 
 
	- Assists in the rollout of new company programs, policies and procedures as needed.
 
	- Assists with laptop/desktop workstation deployment and upgrades.
 
	- Assists with setup, configuration, and support of internal and/or external networks.
 
	- Assists with development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and associated plans related to IT. 
 
	- Assists with implementation of disaster recovery, back-up procedures, and physical and information security to ensure company assets are preserved.
 
	- Maintains systems and policies to comply with PCI standards, data security, and management policies to comply with GDPR standards.
 
	- Utilizes all systems, tools, and procedures with 100% integrity.
 
	- Maintains confidentiality of customer and employee information 100% of the time.

	- Minimum three (3)+ years of network, VMWare virtualization technologies (Workstation, vSphere), Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and experience in Microsoft Products, including Office 365 and Azure.
 
	- SQL, PowerShell, ITIL, and lean technology concepts, preferred.
 
	- Bachelor’s degree in IT, preferred.
