Host/Greeter/Cashier

We are seeking Host/Cashiers to make a great first impression with every guest at The Italian Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck!  Successful candidates will be friendly and engaging with a neat appearance.

JOB SUMMARY:

Our Host/Cashiers seat guests in the restaurant finding the perfect spot for the party.  Host/Cashiers also manage takeout orders and help guests pay for orders.   

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Greets guests with a smile and make their initial contact the beginning of a great experience.
• Listens to the needs and desires of guests, including large parties as they enter the restaurant.
• Communicates with Team members to provide the best seating arrangements for the guest and team.
• Obtains carryout food and drink orders.
• Relays orders to service bar and kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system.
• Prepares food for carryout, verifying accuracy and providing napkins, silverware, cups and plates.
• Presents carryout checks to guests and accepts a form of payment.
• Makes correct change and/or completes the proper charge card procedure.
• Assists in cleaning tables and floors as needed to keep restaurant in good order.
• Performs other duties as requested.

• Passionate and committed team member with great interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management and organization skills with an excellent attention to detail.
• Basic mathematical skills who can handle money accurately and provide correct change.
• Ability to understand, or learn, Point of Sales systems fully.
• Extraordinary customer service, communication, interpersonal and hospitality skills.
• Knowledge of proper sanitation, food safety and security procedures.
• Ability to thrive in fast paced and high intensity environment for extended periods of time.
• Extremely reliable and dependable to cover your shift as scheduled.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with all team member and managers.
• Legally able to work in the US; verified by E-Verify.
