Restaurant Manager

We are seeking experienced Restaurant Managers to join our management team at the Italian Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck. The successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills while understanding restaurant operations.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Restaurant Manager works in partnership with the management team overseeing the day to day operations and ensuring all team members have the necessary tools and resources to perform their jobs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assists with recruiting, selection, orientation, scheduling and performance management.
- Maintains adequate staff levels for your core area within restaurant.
- Coaches team members to be welcoming and professionally friendly to customers.
- Builds and develops a team that can achieve established goals for their area in the restaurant.
- Provides performance feedback and recognition to team members on an ongoing and timely basis.
- Partners with GM to ensure that all company specified training programs are being strictly adhered to including hourly, shift leaders, and certified training programs and alcohol awareness training.
- Communicates any team member, service or quality issues with management team.
- Understanding financial goals set by the GM and implement practices to help meet goals.
- Execute all restaurant administrative tasks, including proper cash handling and timely bank deposits.
- Plans and orders all inventory items pertinent to your area: food, beverage, supplies, etc.
- Complies with company policies, practices and procedures and communicates to all team members.
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining.
- Ensures overall food quality and handling, safety, security and cleanliness are met.
- Performs other duties as requested.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 plus years of recent restaurant experience with 2 in a leadership role.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and results driven with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a team play who is not afraid to roll up your sleeves and jump in to help your team.
- Exuberate passion & commitment and strive in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of labor laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation, responsible alcohol service, safety and security systems, and computer operations.
- Team focused with a passion for training and developing your team.
- Strong time management and organization skills.
- Mathematical abilities enabling you to understand financial reports.
- Advanced understanding of, or will learn, Point of Sales systems fully.
- Extraordinary coaching, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work standing up for extended periods.
- Legally able to work in the US; verified by E-Verify.
