General Manager

The Italian Kitchen- DFW

 

We are seeking experienced restaurant leaders to join our team as the General Manager at the Italian Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck. The successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills while understanding restaurant operations with a financial aptitude.

JOB SUMMARY:

The General Manager provides leadership and motivation to ensure that all managers and team members are guest-focused and team-oriented using your knowledge of restaurant operations to maximize employee relations, revenue, profits and operating standards.  The General Manager is ultimately responsibility and accountable for all restaurant activities.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversees the human resource function in the restaurant ensuring recruitment, selection, orientation, training, scheduling and performance management functions meet or exceed company specified criteria.
  • Ensures that all company specified training programs are being strictly adhered to including hourly, shift leader and manager training programs and alcohol awareness training.
  • Provides performance feedback and recognition to all managers and team members on an ongoing and timely basis.
  • Maintains confidential team member and company information.
  • Involved in all local store marketing efforts.
  • Properly plan and order all inventory items including food, beverage and supplies.
  • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
  • Complies with company policies, practices and procedures and communicates all changes to managers and team members.
  • Establishes daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly sales goals/forecasts to meet and exceed budgeted expectations.
  • Understands Profit and Loss Statements, coaches managers on how to attain agreed upon goals and creates action plans for opportunity areas.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8 plus years of recent restaurant experience with 5 in a leadership role. 
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and results driven with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a team play who is not afraid to roll up your sleeves and jump in to help your team.
  • Exuberate passion & commitment and strive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of labor laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation, responsible alcohol service, safety and security systems, and computer operations.
  • Team focused with a passion for training and developing your team.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Mathematical abilities enabling you to understand financial reports.
  • Advanced understanding of, or will learn, Point of Sales systems fully.
  • Extraordinary coaching, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work standing up for extended periods.
  • Legally able to work in the US; verified by E-Verify.
