Assistant General Manager

We are seeking experienced restaurant leaders to join our management team as the Assistant General Manager at the Italian Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck. The successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills while understanding restaurant operations.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant General Manager partners with the General Manager to provide leadership and motivation to ensure that all managers and team members are guest-focused and team-oriented using your knowledge of restaurant operations to maximize employee relations, revenue, profits and operating standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assists GM with recruiting, selection, orientation, scheduling and performance management.
- Assists GM with maintaining proper training for all positions per branding specifications.
- Orders inventory and supplies as necessary under the direction of the GM.
- Understanding financial goals set by the GM and implement practices to help meet goals.
- Complies with company policies, practices and procedures and communicates to all team members.
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining.
- Ensures overall food quality and handling, safety, security and cleanliness are met.
- Performs other duties as requested.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 plus years of recent restaurant experience with 3 years as a leader.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and results driven with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a team play who is not afraid to roll up your sleeves and jump in to help your team.
- Exuberate passion & commitment and strive in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of labor laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation, responsible alcohol service, safety and security systems, and computer operations.
- Team focused with a passion for training and developing your team.
- Strong time management and organization skills.
- Mathematical abilities enabling you to understand financial reports.
- Advanced understanding of, or will learn, Point of Sales systems fully.
- Extraordinary coaching, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work standing up for extended periods.
- Legally able to work in the US; verified by E-Verify.
