Job Summary
The Senior Turnaround Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing detailed outage and turnaround schedules using Primavera P6. This role focuses on planning and sequencing maintenance and outage work to support safe, efficient execution within LNG, process, or power environments.
The Scheduler will work closely with operations, maintenance, and field execution teams to ensure schedule integrity, track real-time progress, and proactively identify risks or delays that may impact the turnaround timeline.
Job Description
The Senior Turnaround Scheduler will perform the following:
Develop and maintain resource-loaded turnaround and outage schedules in Primavera P6
Build detailed execution schedules incorporating work packages, job plans, and field constraints
Define and manage activity logic, sequencing, and critical path analysis
Support daily and weekly execution scheduling during outage/turnaround windows
Collaborate with planners, operations, and field supervision to ensure accurate scope integration and sequencing
Track schedule progress and update schedules based on actual field performance vs. plan
Identify schedule risks, constraints, conflicts, and develop mitigation and recovery plans
Lead or support schedule review and update meetings with cross-functional teams
Analyze large datasets and translate information into actionable schedule updates
Generate schedule reports including:
Ensure schedule quality and adherence to Primavera P6 best practices and data integrity standards
Continuously improve scheduling processes and execution performance
Expectations
Deliver accurate, realistic, and execution-ready turnaround schedules aligned with scope and resource availability
Maintain schedule integrity throughout all phases of the outage, from planning through execution
Provide timely updates and reporting reflecting real-time field conditions
Proactively identify and communicate schedule risks and recovery strategies
Effectively interface with:
Apply Critical Path Method (CPM) principles to optimize execution sequencing
Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance schedule performance and efficiency
Required Skills/ Competencies
Education/Training/Certifications
- Engineering Technologist or Engineering Degree (not necessary) or journeyman ticket and craft experience
- High school diploma or GED
PMI-SP preferred
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
- Comply with all Risk Management, Quality Assurance, and Health, Safety & Environment management systems, including legal and regulatory obligations.

- Team player to deliver desired turnaround/project outcomes
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet the responsibilities to complete the task
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly pay rate: $60-$80 DOE
Per diem based on mileage requirements and applicable GSA rates.
Monthly vacation and sick leave accrual.
Company-paid short-term disability insurance.
401(k) participation after 90 days of service.
Paid holidays
Mobilization reimbursement for initial travel to the project site, subject to approval.
Assignment Duration: Minimum 60-day engagement with a projected completion date in late November.
