Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Job description:

We are currently looking for an hourly Shift Leader at Davenport's Pizza Palace in Mountain Brook! Davenport's is a family-owned and family-oriented pizza restaurant that has been a Birmingham staple since 1964!

Shift Leader Responsibilities:

Assist with the hiring process by working alongside the GM to source, interview, hire and train qualified candidates

Assist with placing product orders

Manage daily operations effectively with a focus on customer service

Ensure pizzas are prepared quickly and consistently to our specifications

Assist with posting the schedule each week and holding employees accountable to their shifts

Communicate with customers to ensure a pleasant experience and be able to resolve any potential issues to keep customers happy

Become proficient with all aspects of our POS system

Analyze sales reports, manage labor and food costs as a percentage of sales

Shift Leader Qualifications:

Experience in a leadership role is preferred but a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the right personality are most important

Solid understanding of P&L, food and labor costs

Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to work autonomously to solve problems

Knowledge of Food Safety standards

Hands-on Leadership

Excellent communication

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
