Job Summary
Prospectors Pizzeria & Alehouse is seeking experienced bartenders ready for a true Alaska adventure.
Every shift behind the bar is different. One minute you’re pouring a local IPA for hikers fresh off the Denali trails, the next you’re recommending an Alaskan spirit to travelers visiting from across the world.
Our bartenders are more than drink makers — they are storytellers, hosts, and the energy behind the bar. They help create the atmosphere that turns a meal into a memorable Denali experience.

This role is ideal for bartenders who take pride in their craft, enjoy working hard as part of a strong team, and want to spend a season working in one of the most iconic destinations in Alaska.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)
Provide outstanding customer service by welcoming guests, taking drink and food orders, and ensuring every guest feels valued.
Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times.
Follow all recipes, measurements, and presentation standards to maintain consistency and quality.
Engage guests with expert knowledge of our locally brewed beers, Alaskan spirits, and specialty cocktails.
Process payments accurately using our POS system (Toast preferred).
Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, restocking, and cleaning.
Comply with all company, state, and federal alcohol service and health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.
Promote a positive, team-oriented environment built on communication, respect, and shared goals.
Job Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 3 years of bartending or cocktail preparation experience in a high-volume setting.
Proficiency with POS systems; Toast experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of cocktails, craft beer, wine, and beverage preparation techniques.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Required Certifications
Current TAPS (Training for Alcohol Professionals) certification.
Level 1 Beer Server certification through the Cicerone Certification Program (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire).
Valid Alaska Food Handler Card.
