Porter/Cleaning Person Job Description

Summary of Position:

Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, clean and restock restrooms, clean windows, line trash cans. Hours are typically from 9 am to 1 pm.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Vacuum floors.

Sweep and mop flooring.

Dusting of ledges, artwork, blinds, etc ... Clean and restocking of restrooms.

Cleaning windows / glass surfaces, so no fingerprints or marks are seen. Bag and haul trash to our dumpster.

Lining of trash cans with new trash bags.

Clean food preparation and production areas as required.

Prep assigned items when necessary. Measure and assemble ingredients and prepare recipes and menu specifications in accordance to company standard.

Job Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Experience:

No previous restaurant experience required.

Requirements:

Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel. Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
