Warehouse Associate (Bilingual)
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing a variety of tasks within the warehouse, including receiving, sorting, storing, and shipping products. This role ensures efficient and accurate inventory management, order fulfillment, and timely delivery of goods. The Warehouse Associate works collaboratively with team members to maintain a safe, organized, and clean warehouse environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are essential to the role:
- Read and interpret receiving schedules, orders, requisitions, and other documents to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Convey materials/items from receiving areas to designated departments, storage, or other areas.
- Sort and organize materials based on predetermined criteria such as size, type, or product code.
- Fill work orders and distribute materials to installers and customers.
- Assemble customer orders and prepare them for shipment.
- Mark materials with identifying information clearly and legibly.
- Record the amounts of materials received or distributed.
- Enter records and assist in periodic inventory counting using a computer.
- Loads and unloads trucks and vehicles, inspecting for visible damage and reporting it.
- Operates forklifts, hand trucks, carts, or pallet jacks to move materials within the warehouse.
- Operates cardboard and plastic baling machines.
- Maintain cleanliness (including maintenance and repairs) of the worksite, buildings, and other areas as directed.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- At least 1-year related experience and/or training.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Bilingual English & Spanish
- Write clear and concise correspondence.
- Present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Perform basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Apply common sense to follow detailed instructions.
- Solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Trained in forklift, baling machines, and scissor lift operations.
Physical Demands

- Regularly required to sit, use hands to grasp items or to feel, and to verbally communicate.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, kneel, and/or crouch.
- Frequently required to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
Work Conditions/Environment
- The work environment is typically outdoors, with exposure to weather conditions, mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles with a moderate noise level.
- This position requires full-time hours Monday through Friday, overtime hours Saturday and Sunday based on business need, and regular, punctual attendance.
