Job Summary:

As a CNA at Avenly Senior Living, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to our residents. You will be responsible for ensuring their safety, well-being, and overall quality of life. This position requires empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to enhancing the lives of the elderly residents in our community.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Personal Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while preserving their dignity and promoting independence.

Medication Management: Only if you have the Certified Medication Aid Certificate, administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals and maintain accurate medication records. (If applicable)

 

Meal Assistance: Assist residents with meal preparation, serving, and feeding as needed, ensuring that dietary requirements are met.

 

Mobility and Transfer Assistance: Help residents with mobility challenges, including transfers, walking, and positioning, using appropriate assistive devices.

 

Social and Emotional Support: Engage with residents in meaningful conversations, companionship, and recreational activities to promote their mental and emotional well-being.

 

Safety and Emergency Response: Monitor residents for any signs of discomfort or distress and respond promptly to emergencies, following established protocols.

 

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care, including daily activities, vital signs, and any changes in condition.

 

Communication: Collaborate effectively with the caregiving team, healthcare professionals, and residents' families to provide the best care possible.

 

Housekeeping: Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.

 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with ability to read and comprehend written instructions
• Satisfactory criminal background and reference check
• Skills in rendering care and service to seniors with or without dementia
• Negative communicable disease screen (including TB)
• Ability to maintain acceptable work attendance record /follow work schedule
