POSITION: Operations Event Manager REPORTS TO: General Manager
COMPENSATION: Competitive base salary commiserates with experience & benefits program including medical and dental insurance. Bonus structure available.
Operations Event Managers work peak hours for events, schedule determined by General Manager with assistance from Event Coordinator on scheduled events, 5 days a week, AM/PM & weekend availability. The Operations Manager helps the operations team with executing all events, with set up and close out. Will work with Event Coordinator to schedule and finalize all details of events. Operations Event Manager will act as an operations manager on the floor as needed when no events.
Responsibilities:
- The Operations Event Manager will assist the operations team with executing events, working with the client’s day of the events, & closing out the events.
- The Operations Event Manager will work hours based on scheduled events at the location & be available to help assist the banquet team & kitchen with preset up and BEO instructions.
- The Operations Event Manager will work with the Management team on scheduling banquet servers for every event to ensure we have the right amount of coverage.
- The Operations Event Manager will close out all finalized contracts in Tripleseat at the COB the night of the events.
- The Operations Event Manager will assist the Event Coordinator with any leads, calls or emails when available. (Vacation coverage when needed)
- The Operations Event Manager will assist the Operations team with maintaining event supplies and storage.
- The Operations Event Manager will also function as a shift manager when we have no events or coverage is needed. Run the floor, table touch, work with staff on the shift. May be assigned tasks for a Restaurant Manager given by the GM.
• Identify and delegate responsibilities to shift leaders and staff to ensure objectives are met and excellent service is consistently achieved
• Effectively manage the restaurant on a day-to-day basis
• Manage operations with passion, integrity, and knowledge while promoting the culture and values of Titan Hospitality
• Working with Management in developing plans and instructing staff on Restaurant goals
• Provide direction to shift leaders, and staff to achieve restaurant goals
• Consistently review operations and staff to identify any problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement
• Create a positive guest experience by delivering a high level of service and ensuring all staff engage guests to understand their needs and exceed expectations
• Manage the restaurant to meet or exceed standards in food quality, safety, and cleanliness
• Consistently monitor product and labor costs to remain within goals
• Solicit guest feedback to understand the needs and wants of customers
• Train and coach staff on guest services principles and practices
• Follow Titan Hospitality restaurant policies and procedures, including those for cash handing and safety/security
• Monitor and maintain the POS System
• Develop and implement creative solutions to areas of improvement
• Assist in conducting staff and daily pre-shift meetings
• Assist in any areas of the restaurant when staffing constraints require
• Identify employee weaknesses and retrain as necessary
