The Parenting Education Program at Forty Carrots Family Center is looking to hire a compassionate and knowledgeable individual interested in developing trusting, nurturing, and supportive relationships with families from diverse backgrounds. Parenting Educators provide information, support, and encouragement to parents and caregivers during the crucial early years of life. Qualified individuals must demonstrate the ability to work with parents and their young children (0-5 years of age) in group and individualized settings and must show the ability to engage families through a strength-based approach. A bachelor’s degree is preferred; however, a minimum qualification of an associate’s degree with 2 years’ experience in Early Childhood Education, General Education, Counseling, Social Work, Human Services or related field and experience working with children and families is required. The position also requires a valid Driver License and proof of automobile insurance. The available position is part-time (approximately 16-20 hours per week scheduled on weekdays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM).
