Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Supervisor
Reports to: Education Director & Director of Human Resources
Job purpose
As an SLP Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing clinical quality, compliance, and team development. You will ensure that speech-language interventions are evidence-based, effective, and aligned with each child’s developmental needs. Additionally, you will provide mentorship, training, and performance evaluations for SLP team members, including supervising Clinical Fellows (CFs) and overseeing documentation standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide mentorship and clinical supervision to Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Clinical Fellows (CFs), reviewing evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports to ensure alignment with IFSP and IEP goals
- Lead case reviews, team meetings, and professional development sessions for SLPs, CFs, Behavior Technician Apprentices (BTAs) AND Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), fostering a collaborative work environment and offering guidance on therapy techniques and professional growth.
- Address performance concerns while creating coaching and training plans to foster continuous learning and support growth and accountability.
Program Development & Implementation
- Develop speech-language therapy programs that support expressive and receptive language skills, social communication, articulation, and overall communication development.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including OTs, BTAs and RBTs to implement integrated treatment plans that meet developmental milestones and family-centered goals, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with BACBs and Lead Group Teachers to develop ideal classroom environments, including arranging materials and structuring instructional spaces.
- Maintain partnerships with local colleges and universities and work jointly with the Director of Human Resources to recruit interns from their SLP programs, ensuring adherence to program requirements
Assessment & Treatment Oversight
- Review physician referrals and medical records, oversee assessment procedures, and ensure accurate documentation of treatment plans and progress reports.
- Monitor treatment effectiveness and provide clinical recommendations for modifications when needed.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of SLP-related documentation and ensure adherence to clinical standards and regulations.
Family & Community Engagement
- Serve as a liaison between families, therapists, and service coordinators, fostering open communication and collaboration.
- Provide education and training to families, empowering them with strategies to reinforce speech and language development at home.
- Represent The Inspired Community Project, Inc. at community outreach initiatives, workshops, and professional events to advocate for early intervention services
Requirements
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of New York.
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- 3-5 years of experience working with early childhood and elementary aged children (supervisory experience preferred).
Qualifications
- Experience supervising Clinical Fellows (CFs) is a PLUS
- Feeding Therapy Certification a PLUS - we will support your endeavors to become certified, if desired.
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) a PLUS - role will involve communicating with Spanish-speaking families. We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, with a salary premium for bilingual Spanish skills.

Schedule
- Full-time: Tuesday-Saturday, 10:30am-6:30pm; onsite - 3681 Bruckner Blvd, Bronx, NY 10461
Pay Rate & Benefits
Pay Rate: $80,000/year - $90,000/year - weekly payroll (EXEMPT)
