About The Inspired Community Project

The Inspired Community Project (TICP) is a Bronx-based nonprofit organization providing inclusive early childhood education, developmental, behavioral, and family-support services to neurodivergent and neurotypical children and their families.

Our work is rooted in equity, access, and community-centered care. By bringing clinical, educational, behavioral, and family-support services together, we make it easier for children and families to receive coordinated services within the communities they call home.

TICP provides services across both center-based and home/community-based settings, giving clinicians the opportunity to support children within the environments where they naturally learn, communicate, play, and grow.

Position Overview

TICP is seeking a New York State Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing interdisciplinary clinical team.

We are currently recruiting providers for both:

• Center-Based Services: Providing speech and language therapy within TICP’s Bronx early childhood program, including classrooms, therapy spaces, and naturally occurring learning environments.
• Home-Based/Community Services: Providing speech and language services to children and families within their homes and community settings throughout the Bronx and surrounding service areas.

Opportunities are available for clinicians seeking a consistent salaried position as well as providers interested in flexible fee-for-service schedules.

Our Speech-Language Pathologists work with young children with a wide range of communication, developmental, and neurodevelopmental needs. Services may address receptive and expressive language, articulation and phonology, social communication, functional communication, early literacy, AAC, and other areas within the SLP’s professional scope of practice.

What You'll Do

• Provide individualized and small-group speech and language therapy based on each child’s identified needs, goals, treatment plan, IFSP/IEP, and service mandate.
• Support receptive and expressive language, articulation, phonological development, social-pragmatic communication, functional communication, and other identified speech-language needs.
• Use developmentally appropriate, play-based, child-centered, and evidence-informed therapeutic approaches.
• Conduct speech-language evaluations, screenings, observations, and assessments as assigned and appropriate.
• Develop treatment plans and measurable goals based on assessment findings and individual child needs.
• Monitor progress and modify therapeutic approaches based on clinical data and ongoing observation.
• Support children in generalizing communication skills across classrooms, play, routines, home environments, and other naturally occurring settings.
• Complete session notes, evaluations, progress reports, treatment plans, and other required documentation accurately and within established timelines.
• Collaborate with families, Special Education Teachers, Occupational Therapists, Behavior Technicians/RBTs, Family Advocacy staff, service coordinators, and other members of the child’s interdisciplinary team.
• Provide caregivers and staff with practical strategies to support communication development throughout the child’s daily routines.
• Incorporate AAC, visual supports, and other communication tools when clinically appropriate.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, case consultations, staff trainings, and professional development.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional standards in all interactions with children, families, colleagues, and outside providers.

Additional Center-Based Responsibilities

Center-based Speech-Language Pathologists may also:

• Collaborate directly with classroom teams to integrate speech and language strategies throughout the child’s day.
• Provide therapy within classrooms, individual treatment spaces, small groups, and other naturally occurring program environments.
• Consult with teachers and clinical team members regarding communication supports and classroom strategies.
• Participate in case reviews, multidisciplinary planning, and program-based consultation.
• Support or mentor Clinical Fellows, graduate students, or other trainees when assigned and professionally qualified to do so.

Home-Based/Community Responsibilities

Home and community-based Speech-Language Pathologists may also:

• Travel to assigned cases within designated service areas.
• Provide services within the child’s natural environment in accordance with applicable program requirements.
• Partner with parents and caregivers to incorporate communication strategies into everyday family routines.
• Maintain communication with families, service coordinators, supervisors, and other members of the child’s treatment team.
• Maintain accurate scheduling, service-delivery, and documentation records for assigned cases.
• Support family-centered intervention by helping caregivers understand and reinforce therapeutic strategies between sessions.

Qualifications

Required

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related qualifying discipline.
• Current New York State Speech-Language Pathologist license and registration in good standing.
• Strong clinical documentation, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with families and interdisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to providing inclusive, culturally responsive, family-centered, and neurodiversity-affirming services.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and applicable clinical and regulatory standards.

Preferred

• Pediatric speech-language pathology experience.
• Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children.
• Experience supporting children with autism, developmental delays, language disorders, speech sound disorders, or other developmental differences.
• Experience within Early Intervention, CPSE, CSE, preschool, school-based, home-based, or other pediatric settings.
• Experience with AAC and visual communication supports.
• Experience supervising or mentoring Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellows or graduate students.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Compensation Options

TICP offers multiple employment structures based on provider availability, experience, program needs, and preferred work arrangement.

W-2 Salaried Speech-Language Pathologist
$70,000 - $80,000 annually

Designed for clinicians seeking a consistent schedule, ongoing caseload, and integrated role within TICP’s interdisciplinary clinical team.

W-2 Fee-for-Service Speech-Language Pathologist
$60–$65 per 30-minute session

1099 Independent Contractor – Fee-for-Service
$65–$70 per 30-minute session

Available for qualifying independent providers seeking a contracted fee-for-service arrangement.

A flexible employee-based option for clinicians interested in maintaining a pediatric caseload without a traditional full-time salaried schedule.

Specific caseloads, schedules, service settings, and employment arrangements will be discussed during the interview process based on provider availability and TICP program needs.
