About the Internship

Are you seeking hands-on experience as a future Loan Officer within a collaborative and professional environment? Our summer internship program provides meaningful, real-world exposure to the lending process, all within a supportive learning setting.

Throughout this 10-week program, interns will offer essential lending support, building a solid foundation for a future career in financial services. If you are interested in gaining practical financial services experience and making a meaningful impact, this opportunity could be an excellent fit.

Qualifications

• Designed for students in an undergraduate program (finance, business, accounting, or related field), ideally entering their final two years of study
• Applicants are screened (minimum GPA 2.5+, transcripts required)
• Optional: Students may submit paperwork for academic credit
• Exit interview and survey upon conclusion of the internship
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

Program Overview

Interns will gain experience in several key areas of lending, including:

Lending Foundations

• Introduction to community banking and the loan process
• Introduction to credit underwriting
• Overview of loan types and regulatory basics
• Shadowing a loan officer

Loan Operations

• Learning how loan files are perfected and maintained
• Overview of imaging, indexing, and exception tracking

Field & Relationship Exposure

(When available)

• Attending inspections or loan closings
• Observing customer interactions
• Participating in office meetings or community events
