CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Salary Range: $16.00-$24.00

Position Overview

This position is responsible for performing banking transactions for Bank customers in a timely, accurate, and courteous manner. 
 

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess their needs.
• Process financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and money orders.
• Verify transaction forms, endorsements, and customer identification.
• Maintain efficient service to avoid long wait times.
• Handle cash: count, order, balance, and record transactions.
• Accept loan payments and process night depository contents.
• Address and resolve customer complaints.
• Perform data entry and reporting.
• Crosstrain for Switchboard Operator and First Contact Person roles.
• Recommend bank products and services.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum one year of cash handling experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency in basic math and computer operations.
• Ability to handle large sums of money accurately.

Willingness to undergo 3–6 months of on-the-job training and continue skill development.

Physical Requirements

• May involve lifting items over 25 pounds and extended driving.
• Typical office environment with standard equipment.
• Regular standing, walking, and use of hands.
