Job Summary: The Campus IT Support Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for
faculty, staff, and students seeking technology assistance. This position is responsible for
providing excellent customer service while troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software,
account, and classroom technology issues. The specialist manages helpdesk requests, installs and
maintains computer equipment, and works closely with other IT staff to support the college's
technology infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary IT support contact for faculty, staff, and students.
• Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve helpdesk requests in a timely and professional
manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate technical information in a clear,
understandable manner.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, mobile devices, and
related technology.
• Manage and document support requests using the college's helpdesk ticketing system.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff while maintaining ownership and
communication with end users.
• Assist with classroom and event audiovisual technology setup and support.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and user guides.
• Assist with wireless networking equipment, network infrastructure, and other campus
technology systems.
• Support user account management and software deployment activities.
• Adhere to and help promote information security policies and best practices.
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of the Information Technology team.
• Lift up to 35 pounds, climb ladders, and work in areas requiring physical access to
equipment.

• Ability to document issues, resolutions, and procedures clearly.
Credentials and Experience
• One to three years of IT support experience, IT-related education, or an equivalent
combination of training and experience.
