Position Title: Videographer/Photographer
Reports to: Vice President for Communications and Strategic Initiatives
Job Summary: We are seeking a Videographer/Photographer to join the Cottey Marketing team. This position will create a variety of video and photo content for the college. To be successful in this position, they will need to be a good communicator, a self-starter, organized, capable of delivering clear creative ideas, and show attention to detail.
Videographer/Photographer Job Responsibilities:
· Collaborating with the Cottey marketing team, internal clients, and outside creative professionals on creative work
· Strategically translating client needs into creative video and photograph concepts that enhance the intended meaning of the work
· Record video using professional equipment
· Post-production video editing
· Set-up lighting and audio equipment
· Articulating and pitching creative ideas and concepts to the marketing team and internal clients
· Organize and schedule shoots
· Set up and produce live-streamed events on campus
· Maintain Cottey’s Youtube page
· Capture and edit photos across campus for multiple platforms
· Perform retouching and image adjustments after photo shoots
· Maintain photography and video equipment
· Organize digital assets
Work Hours: This is a full-time position at 40 hour per week. Some nights and weekends will be required. This position may be eligible for some remote work.
Videographer/Photographer Qualifications and Skills:
· Understanding of video and photo trends
· Exceptional ability to visualize and capture shots
· Excellent command of English language, grammar, spelling and usage
· Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
· Flexibility
· Attention to detail
· Computer technical skills
· Time-management skills
· Project management skills
· Deadline-oriented
· Openness and ability to incorporate feedback
· Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds of equipment around campus
· Must have full-spectrum color vision correctable to 20/20 including being able to distinguish varying shades of gray and amounts of contrast.
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
· Three (3) years of video experience
· Three (3) years of photography experience
· Three (3) years of using editing software including: Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom, Audition, Davinci Resolve, and After Effects
