Administrative Assistant to VP for Field Ministries

Hours: 20 Hours Per Week On Average
Location: Englewood, CO
Compensation: $20.00 per hour plus Vacation, Sick and Holiday Pay
Purpose:
The Administrative Assistant performs administrative duties and provides support for the Vice President for Field Ministries. This position anticipates the needs of the VP and field ministry team members, resolves operational and administrative issues before they arise, and executes tasks and projects under their area of responsibility with expertise.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, distribute, create, record, track, and maintain communications, files, and assignments.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, special events, conference calls, webinars, and other events, and provide timely reminders.
- Coordinate communications, including taking calls, responding to emails, and routing correspondence.
- Assist the VP for Field Ministries by recording minutes at selected meetings. To include follow-up on action items and providing regular updates as needed.
- Coordinate travel arrangements.
- Maintain a calendar for the Field.
- Monitor and communicate Field movement and status, this includes participation in monthly Mission Movement meetings and Field Leader Meetings.
- Some travel may be required to attend field conferences and visit ministries in the United States and globally.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience (4+ years preferred) as an administrative assistant or similar position. Ministry non-profit experience preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with organization specific programs and software.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and with others to meet goals with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of and commitment to working in a nonprofit, Christian organization and willingness to deploy Cadence Mission/Vision.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrate the wisdom and ability to maintain confidentiality, remain open to others’ ideas, and exhibits willingness to try new things.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, including conflict resolution—the individual edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Office environment; occasional domestic and international travel.
