Sales Manager

Summary

The New Sales Manager position manages the sales activities of the dealership to ensure that the dealership meets its new vehicle unit and gross objectives on a daily, monthly, and annual basis. The New Sales Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and measuring the activities of the new sales department.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all sales people and manages sales staffing and training (including on the job training) in ways that will enhance the development and control of sales programs.
  • Conducts sales meetings.
  • Serves as liaison between sales department and other departments.
  • Meets annual and monthly objectives for new unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profit.
  • Maintains new vehicle inventory.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Reviews market analyses and sales reports to determine customer needs and volume potential.
  • Develops sales campaigns and advertising to accommodate the goals of the dealership.
  • Monitors salespersons productivity and performance daily, monthly, and annually by projected income.
  • Ensures that sales people are following established sales and prospecting program to obtain optimum results.
  • Administers and monitors factory-sponsored programs.
  • Displays merchandises, and promotes new vehicle.
  • Develop and convey a high level of automotive product knowledge.
  • Meet customer service standards by achieving ‘above district’ customer service information “CSI” scores.
  • Address customer complaints to the satisfaction of each customer and the Dealership.
  • Adhere to and enforce dealership policies and procedures established by the corporate office as well as the general manager.
  • Safeguard dealership assets and customer data. 
  • Maintain professional personal appearance.
  • Complete required training assigned through the company training portal.
  • Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
  • Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Mac Haik Automotive group brand.
  • Effectively perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of two years automotive sales experience
  • Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening
  • Authorization to work in the USA
